Our Love Letters

Help & Support

A small, private site for two people — and the short answers for when it misbehaves.

What this is

Our Love Letters is a private website for Wasef and Sanaz. It holds letters written to each other, the photo strips taken together, and Our Story, a book written one chapter at a time.

It isn't a product. There are no public signups, no customers, no ads, and no analytics. There are exactly two accounts, and nobody else can make one.

Getting started

  1. Open wrcxsa.com.
  2. Pick your name on the login screen.
  3. Enter your password, and you're in.

From there, Library holds every letter as an envelope card — search by keyword (typos are forgiven), or filter by category, author, or date range. A small dot marks a letter from your partner you haven't opened yet; opening it clears the dot. Tap the heart on a letter and the person who wrote it will see it was loved. If either of you wrote something on this same date in an earlier year, it resurfaces above the library under On this day.

Write a Letter takes a title, a body, a category, a date, an optional mood, and optional photos. Photobooth is the one that needs both of you at once: open it on both phones at the same time, and after a countdown it takes a three-shot strip with both faces in every frame. The strip can be attached to a letter or saved to Google Drive.

Our Story unlocks chapter by chapter as you read, and reading progress is kept per person — so one of you racing ahead doesn't spoil or unlock anything for the other.

When something goes wrong

The photobooth won't connect, or my partner's box stays black

The photobooth makes a direct live connection between two phones, so it only works when both of you have it open at the same moment. Check, in order:

  • Are you both in the photobooth right now? One person waiting alone will never connect.
  • Did you both allow camera access when the browser asked? If one person dismissed the prompt, the other sees a black box.
  • What network are you on? It works reliably on ordinary home wifi. Some corporate networks and some mobile-carrier connections block the kind of direct connection it needs, and there's no relay server to fall back on. If it fails on office wifi or on cellular data, try again on home wifi.

If one of you closed the photobooth and reopened it, give it a few seconds — it needs a moment to find the other side again.

I accidentally denied camera access

Once the browser has been told no, it stops asking. You have to turn it back on by hand.

iPhone (Safari): tap the aA or lock icon at the left of the address bar and turn Camera back on. If it isn't offered there, go to Settings → Safari → Camera and set it to Ask or Allow, then reload the page.

Android (Chrome): tap the lock icon in the address bar, then Permissions → Camera, and allow it. Reload the page afterwards.

Photos in a letter aren't showing up

Reload the page. Image links are signed and expire after a while; they're renewed each time the page loads, so a refresh almost always brings the pictures back.

I never got an email about a new letter

Check your spam folder first. Beyond that: the email notifications are best-effort, and they do occasionally fail to send. Nothing is lost when that happens — the letter is already saved and waiting in the Library. The email is only a nudge, never the letter itself.

I forgot my password

There's no reset link, because there's no signup system to hang one on. Passwords are managed by hand in the Supabase dashboard by whoever runs the site. Ask Wasef, or write to the address below, and it'll be set to something new for you.

Something looks stale, or a page seems stuck

Force the browser to fetch a fresh copy. On a computer, press Ctrl + Shift + R (Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac). On a phone, pull down to refresh, or close the tab entirely and open the site again.

If it's still wrong after that, it's a real bug and worth telling me about.

Privacy, briefly

The letters are readable only by the two accounts on this site. There are no other users, nothing is public, nothing is sold, and nothing is fed to advertising or analytics. Fuller detail — what's stored, where, and why — lives in the privacy policy.

Getting in touch

wrezachow@gmail.com

That address reaches one person, not a company. This site is a personal project maintained in spare evenings, so replies come when they come — usually quickly, sometimes not. There's no queue, no ticket number, and nothing to wait on hold for.

If something is broken, say what you were doing, which phone or computer you were on, and roughly when it happened. That's usually enough to find it.
